i think i really tricked myself into believing that we could do quite well. honestly i think i didnt really do my best. i freaked out too much and after cadenza it was like poof. lie down and sleep as much as possible and catch up on homework. i only really started thinking about it on tuesday after band prac. and wed's instructor prac made me realize how lan4 we really were. gosh. we havent been hearing how we really sound as a section for a long time. like breaking the sound down section part by section part and finding out who is playing wrong notes or wrong tuning etc. and it was like less than a day before SIBF when i realize how much we still have to go. and that was seriously scary

i really dont know whats wrong with me. i know i must buck up but somehow there are also a thousand and one things clamouring for my attention its hard to get my priorities right. and somehow whatever i do, i always get the sinking feeling im not doing my best.. or what i know i can do. shitt. this is so very screwed. what am i doing to my life!!

this is SIBF. and i was thinking that we could actually use this comp to gauge our standard. sigh. really quite depressed now.
